Install this T&P relief valve in top of storage tank. Do not panic when the product is dripping, this is the pressure of the product is too large in the pressure relief, please connect the pipe to the sewage discharge.

Please note that the water heater should be filled with water first before turning on to avoid dry burning.

Can this unit be install in line with an existing water heater to suppliment the hot water?

Yes. It will work fine like that. Just make sure that it has enough electric to run it.

What should I do if I encounter water that is too hot?

Turn the temperature knob counterclockwise to a lower temperature setting. If the temperature does not lower within 60 minutes, it need to be replaced a thermostat.

Can this point-of-use electric water be used s for an shower?

No. These mini tank water heaters are not suitable for shower.

The size of the water inlet/outlet is 3/4 NPT.
